英语考试中有一项内容就是听力测试，这是我们这一学科与其他任何一个学科都不同的地方。在英语听力测试中，播放一段段的录音，然后让学生根据录音的内容，回答试卷上提出的问题。这项测试内容在中考考试中一般占30分左右，30分是一个什么概念呢？在中考中，英语和其他学科一样，占120分，那么30分就是其中的四分之一，如果听力测试不过关，即使后边的题目全部做对，也就是拿到90分，按百分制85分优秀的话，120分的试卷，90分根本称不上优秀，只能算是刚刚勉强及格。因此，我们一定要在平时的学习过程中注重听的训练。

注重课前预习时听录音。目前义务教育教科书都配有录音带，作为配套资料发给学生。学生家庭里几乎都可以找到录音机，我们要求学生每天都可以把第二天要讲授的内容先听一遍两遍，在听的时候，我们要求学生对照课本的内容，进行默读，以纠正自己的读音。这样在听的过程中，还可以练习读的能力。

注重课堂教学时听录音。我们在课上教学时一般会给学生放录音，我们先给学生完整地放一遍录音，然后根据教学的情况，分成几个段落一段段地放录音，在放完第一段录音后，我们带着学生分析第一段涉及的语法问题，以及碰到的新的单词，然后通过一遍遍地放录音，加深学生对某一个问题的认识和某一个单词的用法。
