第二点：教师要有扎实的英语基本功。一个英语老师首先要自己有超强的英语基本功，才能吸引住学生。每一堂都用英语流畅的讲解，教态要亲切、自然、板书工整、美观，言简意赅，层次分明，而且能熟练运用现代化教学手段，是成功的课堂教学的基础。很多学生会因为老师能说流畅的英语认真听课。

第三点：让学生对学习英语更有自信心。每一节英语课我们都要鼓励学生，让他们相信自己一定能学好英语。每一节课，只要去努力了，不管回答正确还是错误，我们都要给予学生适当的鼓励，激发学生的自信心。

第四点：让学生了解学习英语的重要特性。英语作为初中的一门重要课程，首先是评价一个学生学习能力的重要标准。其次英语作为一门世界通用的语言，是重要的与人交流工具，学好英语不管是对于出国留学还是以后的工作都有很大的帮助。

第五点：要因材施教，有不同的教学方法。教无定法，但是也是有章可循的，我们要根据学生的整体特点找出一个适应全体学生的教学方法。但是每个个体又都是独立的存在，还要因材施教，对个别学生进行辅导，争取收到理想的教学效果。

第六点：做一个充满激情的老师。 教师在课堂上全身心地投入，认真地对待学生，教师真诚的关注容易感染学生。老师站在讲台上要掌控住全场，让整个课堂气氛充满激情。

总之，课堂活动是实际的也是千变万化的，课堂活动是质朴的也需要有创新的意识，上好一节初中英语课，要求一个老师有一定的教学方法，也要有带动课堂气氛的能力，让学生在轻松之中学好英语，收到理想的教学效果，为今后学习更多的英语打下牢固的基础。
