从国家层面，中国正在世界崛起，如果我们将我们的看法，我们的历史和我们的思想向世界传递，因为也许还有其他人对我们不够了解，那么学好英语，他们就有机会看到我们是谁，并且认同我们的文化，去欣赏我们的技术进步，甚至去学习我们的文化。普通话有着世界上最多的使用者，但英语是全球的最通用语言，如果我会说英语，我就不需要带翻译去环球旅行，不需要借助翻译器去理解对方的话语。所以大学生学好英语是非常重要的。那么在大学生活里，如何学好英语:
1.精听练习
找一部自己喜欢的美剧，先看一遍，然后遮住字幕，一句一句的跟读听写，反复练习。也可以多听一些外语广播，有些软件中就有专门的外国人读外刊，可以先系统的听一遍，然后再看着翻译和英语再听一遍，之后掏出纸，听一句，默写一句。这对我们的听力非常有帮助，在以后的四六级甚至考研英语当中会是一个很好的加分项。而且还可以在这个过程中认识更多的单词，毕竟词汇量是学习英语的一大难题。
2.扫书
扫书是背单词的一大法宝。不要纠结你背没背下来，也不要纠结这个词能不能用的出来。就当看连环画一样，看一个中文，看一个英文。每一个单词的停留时间都不会超过五秒钟，然后反反复复的看。这样有一个很明显的好处，就是不费劲，不用动笔，也不用画图，更不用专时专用，碎片时间拿出来看即可。而且认真背有可能很长时间还停留在a和b，这样的话，你必须反反复复的去背这个单词，你才能记得非常深。
3.多读外刊
英语考试的真题原文，大多都选自外刊。长期阅读外刊，可以培养母语思维，还可以提高做题的正确率。比如《经济学人》，《纽约时报》，《华盛顿邮报》都是一些很好的外刊选择。从泛读到精读，了解主题大意，标记生词。最后整理思维导图和段落大意。
